NEPTUNE SYSTEM MASK ASSISTANCE PLAN – DDR Dive Data RecorderIf you purchase a mask with a DDR, you have an efficient system to verify when and if your mask requires maintenance. There are many factors that may affect the slow or fast decrease in performance of your full face mask and it is necessary to control these variables and provide the right action at the right time. A Neptune Space / Predator / Raptor mask is assembled with different parts made by a variety of raw materials and each one might be sensitive to oxidation, temperature and mechanical stress. A NBR o-ring and a Viton o-ring behave differently with age and a regulator diaphragm experiences a different level of stress dependent on the type of dive. With the DDR and the relevant DDR software, you may collect a few important paramenters and enter this data into an algorithm that we have designed specifically to assist in the proper maintenance time table of the Neptune System masks. First, you will need to download all data from your DDR (please refer to the DDR Owner's Manual). In the statistic panel you will find the following information:
Also, note of how many days have passed from the
purchase of the mask or the last service your mask received.
For personal use, you may download the Mask Assistance Table. Enter the initial data in the panel below. You have the choice to enter metric or imperial data. Our log system will let you know if your mask requires maintenance. If maintenance is required, please contact the closest OCEAN REEF service center, the store from where you purchased the mask or OCEAN REEF customer service and coordinate a full service for your mask. WARNING: We recommend keeping your mask (when not in use) in a dry environment, out of direct sunlight and between 32º F and 140º F. Clean the mask with fresh water after every dive, dry and keep away from dusty and/or humid places. |
